The SOS team for the 2016-2017 school year completed several projects to bring Hope, Help, and Strength to their peers. Below are photos of some of these activities. The Wall of Strength identified the 8 Sources of Strength areas and provided examples to the student body to help them strengthen each area. The Tree of Trusted Adults allowed the student body to identify a trusted adult in their life, write it on an ornament, and hang on the tree for their peers to see. Additionally, SOS Peer Leaders participated in team building activities, such as the balloon challenge. At the end of March, the SOS Peer Leaders teamed up with the Student Council to conduct school-wide presentations on the eight SOS areas. They performed skits, provided information, and created the rainbow of SOS areas in the PJH cafeteria. The final activity for the year involved positive messages through sidewalk chalk in front of the school and on a bulletin board inside the school (pictured below).

The students also searched the school for SOS tokens to tell the counselors about their Sources of Strength.
